Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - deep amber but clear, nice gently frothy off-white head.
Nose - pine, toffee, Jamaica cake and dried orange.
Taste - toffee, brown bread, cake, marmalade but also fresh citrus.
Palate - medium bodied, soft malts and then nice bitter citrus finish and a tremendous linger.
Overall - I really like this. A lot!

Can. Near clear orange beer, decent bubbly cream colour head. Airy palate, smooth and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy malts, a nice Chevalier richness and slight tang. Fine hop profile delivers orchard fruits, mild ripe fruits and mildly tangy orangey apricot vibe that really adds brightness. A juicier and mildly honeyish orchard fruits just before the light and mildly dry finish, it leaves a modest bitter linger. Super duper, good depth of flavour and sufficiently different from the slew of US style beers that dominate most brewers output. We need more craft British beer like this please!

Cask at the Bear, Paddington on 8th August 2025. Clear copper with shallow off-white foam affording scant lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Malty in-mouth with sweet berry fruits and a sharp line of furniture polish that cannot be missed or avoided. This diminishes somewhat in the finish allowing tangy fruits to re-emerge. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Murky muddy orange-amber colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of orange rind, fruits, hops. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, and tropical fruity, with zesty orange, grapefruit, citrus, alittle pine, flowery & resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, high foamy carbonation, resinous hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Keg at Six Degrees North. Hazy plum/brown body with no head, carbonation or lacing. Aroma of whisky and smoke. Flavour of plum and whisky. Medium body with a slick texture. Very soft fizz. I wanted to love this but I didn’t; it’s too smokey and boozy.

440ml can. Clear gold orange, big white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, bready. Taste is malty, bready, caramel, marmalade, light sugary sweetness leading to a hoppy finish bringing some bitterness, the bittersweet balance here is perfect actually. Medium bodied, a chewier body than you'd get from a modern pale ale. This is excellent, would love more like this.
