Description
Visit the world’s first LEED certified microbrewery housed in a refurbished historic funeral home in the East Hills neighborhood. Live the Bon Vivant with neighbors, brewers, and monks alike enjoying rustic farmhouse inspired beers alongside European inspired cooking from our scratch-kitchen.

We are excited to share our passion for beer, food and sustainability with you. Much of the inspiration behind Vivant comes from the small breweries that dot the countryside in Southern Belgium and Northern France. Often, those breweries are true beer artisans who are also an integral part of their community. They experiment with unique yeasts and local ingredients, always with an artistic eye to their creations. Sourcing ingredients locally makes their beer pair exceptionally well with a meal of locally sourced produce, meats, and cheeses. Brewery Vivant promotes living the good life by brewing farmhouse inspired beer, serving a from-scratch menu, and building a sustainable community one beer at a time.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear and darkly ruddy with a transient tan head. Red glints all around the glass. Aroma of dates and plums, bourbon/vanilla and rather roasty malt. Arguably full bodied. Flavor of plums and dates, and perhaps pale stone fruits too, with tingling carbonation, malt that's not light nor burnt, and bourbon/vanilla all along the trial. Belgian yeast/spice finally is discernible. And then it all falls into place - It's a quad. And a very, very tasty quad.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a bright hazy straw gold with a finger of fluffy foam. Beautiful looking beer unfortunately strong paper oxidation aromas on the nose. Muted flavors on the palate with more doughy, flat citrus. Tastes oxidized.

Pint can from beer abuser Bella's in Sault St Marie. 8.12.21. Canned on 6/5/19. Bought last month. Massive gusher. Lost about 2/3 of the beer. I won't hold it against the brewery. Hazy orange, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of stale tangerine, pale malt. Taste is sweet malt, tangerine, leafy hops. Full bodied. Good despite the abuse. This would have been fantastic fresh.
