Pint at the brewery - clear light gold - the combination of Lemondrop, Citra, and Mandarina Bavaria hops make this explosively citric and spicy, with a peppery and herbal finish - malt character is lean, clean, lightly sweet - highly bitter, but not abrasive - more hop magic from these folks.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid dark orange - nose of musky and tropical Brett character, pepper, light pear esters - carbonation is low - moderately prickly acidity - flavor has mild to moderate Brett funkiness, light apple and pear, mild pepper - finish is slightly dull, a little yeasty, but with lingering pepper - it’s decent.

5oz draft at brewery. So, the name of this beer is wrong. Its not tangerine cream but creamsicle cream. And its a very offputting, for me, creamscile flavor. Heck, I even like creamsciles but this was unbearably hard for me to drink. 2 small sips and I was done. Just artificial and offputting flavor.

Draft at brewery. While I like C hops they didn’t do it well. Some asprin and astringent hoppiness. A little sweet malt works for well but the hops just don’t shine like I want. Another DIPA Berko hasn’t had.

Pint at the brewery - hazy orange - tons of tropical fruit in the nose, dank piney character - soft texture - assertively/aggressively bitter - in most S26 IPAs this is often held in check, but in this one it’s a wee bit abrasive - citrus, pepper - the cool thing here that makes this a bit distinct from their other IPAs is the earthiness of golden promise - adds a dry malt complexity and mildly British character - good, but the occasional abrasiveness knocks it down a peg.

16 ounce tulip at the brewery - they really did a good job at making this understated and subtle - moderately tart, not aggressively sour like a lot of American-made renditions - very mild lacto bugginess - a touch of coriander - light notes of tart citrus - savory saltiness arrive late and adds a minerality to the finish - mild sweetness and soft wheat malt flavor a tie it all together throughout - balanced, refreshing, and crushable.

Pint at the brewery - lightly hazy orange - another clean, well-executed IPA from this brewery - I’m starting to run out of descriptors for their IPAs at this point - assertively bitter without being abrasive - a lot of citrus and tropical fruit (lemon, pineapple, grapefruit) - slightly savory finish, but with background touches of honey and candied citrus - dig it.

Pint at the brewery - turbid orange (unfiltered, yeeessss) - nose and flavor are exploding with citrus, tropical fruit, darkness - flavor is juicy hoppiness at its finest - juicy orange and grapefruit, bracing bitterness/acids tempered perfectly by hefty but clean malt sweetness - nice chewiness to the texture - fucking exceptional IPA, even for these guys.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid gold - moderately estery nose, packed with citrus from the Orange peel and hops - full mouthful, soft, frothy carbonation - mild sweetness with a balancing tang of wheat and citrus - a bit of pepper, light coriander - finish of lemongrass, moderate esters, and spice - well done.

Bomber sampled @ MEUG 2016. Clear orange with an off-white head. Nose is pure massive fresh onion, dank hops, garlic & onion hops, low white grape hops, but dull & one-note. Taste is basically hop tea, onion, garlic hops, low grapefruit peel hop, dahs yeast, low white grape hop. Massively oily / hop oil body, body & taste lack malts for me in order to balance the whole, okay but really lacking in malt & balance for me but not for hop heads I assume. Not bad overall.
