Taste is sweet, heavy bitter, slightly sour and malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, charred wood, vanilla beans, charcoal, raisins, prunes, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, soil and bourbon alcohol. mouthfeel is round, roasted astringent, tiny tart, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Draught @ All In Beer Fest 2014. Pours hazy golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves some spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, slightly malty and tiny floral with butterscotch, hay, minerals, persimmon, lemon zest and hints of old dark bread. Taste is sweet, bitter and floral with bread, butterscotch, hay, dried flowers, minerals and lemon zest. mouthfeel is crisp, round, tiny dry and light bodied. Finish in tiny sweet, bitter and floral with butterscotch, hay, soil and lemon zest. Solid unspectacular Czech pilsner.

Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, coconut milk, hay, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, tiny sour and malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, raisins, prunes, charred wood, roasted coconut, charcoal, hay, soil and bourbon alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, tiny fruity tart, tiny viscous, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, slightly bitter and tiny sour with caramel, vanilla fudge, charred wood, raisins, prunes, dried cherries, charred wood, roasted coconut, hay, soil, charcoal and lemon zest. Very pleasant BA Barley wine. But heavy on the charcoal sourness from the barrel roast but it doesn’t bother me too much…

Black beer with a small head. Vinous aroma with vanilla, malts, heavy liquorice and bourbon. Same in taste. Very heavy.

Taste is sour and fruity with wheat crackers, pink grapefruit juice, lingonberries, rhubarb, lime juice, lemon juice, yoghurt, hay, dry soil and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, tart, tiny berry skin astringent, tiny watery and light bodied. finish is sour and fruity with wheat crackers, grapefruit juice, lime juice, lingoberries, yoghurt, hay, dry soil and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is tiny flat, astringent, watery and light bodied. Finish is bitter with cereal, grapefruit, grass, pine, lemon zest and hints of frozen peas. Smell is sweet, floral and tiny fruity with viola candy, honey, dry soil and hints of lemon zest. Tasty slightly sweet, slightly fruity and slightly floral with honey, viola flowers, apple skins, dry soil, lemon zest and sublt ehints of yeast. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly dry, sparkling and light to medium bodied. Finish is floral and slightly fruity with honey, viola flowers, dry soil and lemon zest.
