75cl bottle from the producer with Soph after a ride through Clairmarais. Pours a vivid misty pinkish purple. Aroma of assorted red hedgerow berries. Flavour profile delivers vivid red berries, though more rosehip than not blackcurrant, no ribena or vimto notes, woody as it goes down. Tart fruit definition. Nice sipper though not quite what I expected.

440ml can, from the brewery. Pours a misty yellow, small white head. Aroma of defined cereal malt, autumn harvest. Quite a rustic farmhouse profile, soft malty, wheaty nuances, great flavour definition. A proper rustic grisette and no mistake.

Can. Color: Hazy pale golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, earthy, subtle citrus. Taste: Malty, floral, earthy, spicy and yeasty hints. Light hints of citrus. Just below medium body and just below average carbonation. Light to moderate sweet, very light tart and bitter. Nice and refreshing.

Can. Never thought I would have the chance to drink a Welsh Grisette... Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Grainy, spicy notes, hints of citrus fruit. Taste: Wheat malt, floral and spicy notes, hints of white pepper, light hints of citrus fruit. Just below medium body, just below average carbonation. Light sweetness and moderate herbal bitterness. Nice one!

Bottle by way of a trade with minutemat. Cheers! Hazed pale gold. Sturdy egg white foam. Looks well. I know nothing about this yeast strain but overall it comes across like Du Pont with added white pepper wet clay. Further notes of savoury sage like herb. Some overripe lemon. Whiff of sulphur throughout. It ain’t lacking. Taste is semi sweet with a light old citrus peel bitterness. Fair amount of body with soft foam carbonation. Light lemon peel bitterness to finish. Lots going on here.

Can. A nice extra in a trade with Mat. Cheers pal. Lively pour sits hazed straw gold with a big rocky white foam that lasts admirably. Looks good. Straw and hay on the nose. Lemon peel and mineraly almost briny notes. Whiff of fresh grassy hop leaf. Faint whiff of smoke too. Taste is dry and lightly bitter. Light and refreshing overall with lively foamy carbonation. Dry light bitter finish. Nice easy drinking saison. Clean as a whistle in fact.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Hazy orange colour, thin white rim and aroma of apple, funky. Taste is tangy, apple, fleshy, fruity, with some funk and drying bittersweet tannins Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Taste is tangy, apple, fruity, with alittle tartness, leathery funk, wood hint, and light bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium drying finish Nicely drinkable.

75cl bottle from the producer. Pours a misty golden orange. Soft fruity medium sweet ripened apple fruit aroma. Nice natural blend, still, full fruity character, not too much tannin, soft ripened fruit, decent medium dry.
