Bottle from Bruneck. Dark brown, big tan head with superfine bubbles. The nose is a bit dark/malty, but rather mild. Very smooth and mild bourbon and vanilla flavor, very balanced, no flavors overpowering each other but a nice combination.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, chocolate. Taste is the same, not too intense, quite pleasant though, with a tiny tart edge. Oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Solid.

Bottle purchased in Bruneck, drunk while watching Altered Carbon. Clear medium brown, moderate head, nutty caramel nose. Nice flavor with a good bit of sweetness, lots of crystal malt flavor, roast notes at the end. Not too complex but a quaffable Dunkles.

Bottle purchased in Merano. Orange amber with a small head. Orange peel, sweet malt, inviting bread-yeasty nose. The flavor is really citrus zest, fresh Spanish oranges in a British-Style marmelade. I can imagine this beer spread on warm buttered toast made from freshly baked bread. If that's what they meant by Colonial IPA they are spot on.
