På ølfestivalen i København: god friskhet som ga assosiasjoner til gul grapefrukt. En god tørsteslukker som ga mersmak!

Sample from tap, CBF 2012. Black with a tanned head. Roasted aroma with malts, chocolate and subdued hops. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Nice, dry and rather bitter finish, where a little bit of the rye character shows. Good porter.

On tap. Pours black with a small off-white head. Heavy coffee notes up front with a layer of vanilla softening up the mocha and roast. Rich roasty body, again a little heavy on the carbonation, massive and delicious coffee accents again leading to a roasty bitter finish. Well made, and doesn’t REALLY appear 10%. 110512

On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque yellow with a small white head. Heavy yeast in the nose with a citric zest. Medium body, carbonation is a little excessive. A fairly dry fruitiness but the Belgian yeast is a little too dominant for my liking. 110512

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a small off-white head. Sweet roasty, licoricey aroma - I’m beginning to feel I can really recognize rye when I encounter it although I find it difficult to describe its rustic character. Medium body, a broad variety of roasty flavors and a solid bitterness in the finish, from both hops and roast. 110512

On tap. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Lovely dry Sorachi Ace aroma - although I could take even more of that! Fairly light body, very, very dry almost bordering astringent. The alphas in the SA really come out in the finish. The dryness makes this very drinkable, but - as usual - I’d personally prefer it a little sweeter. 110512

Draught. Mild fruity aroma. Black colour. No head. The flavour is sweetish with a hint of rye bread. A little roasted in the finish. Rather thin body, but OK.

Citric aroma, nice lemon. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is lemony and quite bitter. Uncompromising bitterness, but clean.
