Hand-pulled half-pint at the Chesterfield Ale House on 20th Nov 2014. Poured a clear dark brown, on top a weak but lasting tanned head. Dry roasted maltiness rules the brew, the nose has maltiness all over it, as does the flavour. Mild bitter chocolate notes within the dryness, some dark fruit hints in there as well. I took to this, my last beer of the session.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Chesterfield Ale House on 20th Nov 2014. Very dark brown body, beige topping. Fairly sweet nose and taste, I got vanilla in my mind and couldn’t shift it throughout the half-pint. Tried to find butterscotch, but that bloody vanilla thought kept getting in the way. I liked it though. Malty molasses push down the hop bitterness until the late finish.

Cask (Nottingham Beer Festival 2014) - Golden in colour. Grapefruit and some fairly subtle notes of bourbon can be detected in the aroma. Tangy taste with citrussy hops and bourbon notes combining to good effect.
