Description
Brewery changed from "Regional Brewery" to "Brewpub" in 2009. The four beers "Gold", "Dunkel", "Bock" and "Weizen" served at the brewpub are indeed brewed there while the same beers, if bottled, as well as all other products, are produced at "Privat-Brauerei Zötler" since December 2019. The bottles beers are marketed under the subsidary label "Brau-Manufactur Allgaeu".

Bottle. Hazy pale green-golden, whipped cream head. Aromatic big hoppy nose - carries over into the flavor - big lemonpeel and grass hop flavor on a crisp strawmalt body. Manages to stay balanced, fresh and moreish, very nice - thanks for sending it Günther!

Bottle with a screw-cap: Golden and hazy, mid-sized, rather quickly diminishing off-white head; fruity - the usual suspects - nose: bananas and so on, but also strawberries (!); sweet flavour, slightly acidic, medium bodied; sweet fruity (strawberries again) finish with the faintest illusions of sweetness. A good, average Weizen........

Bottle: Pale greenish-golden coloured with a medium-sized, quite firm and stable white head; superb, huge resinous, citrousy and aromatic-hoppy nose with sweet-malty supports; moderate, distinctive but silky sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, mild MF; lingering and soft sweet-malty and resinous-hoppy finish. Radost, what a superb Pils. Can’t hardly believe it, that it comes from Germany..........

Test vom 9.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,6,8,6,7,6 - 6,55

(bottle) Clear, yellow colour with a foamy white medium head. Grainy, slightly citrus-fruity and floral hoppy aroma. Moderately bitter flavour; citrousy and grainy taste with an aromatic hoppy blend; light to medium body, crispy carbonation; dry, floral and slightly herbal hoppy finish, which is unfortunately a bit short. Clean and fresh, pretty drinkable, but also quite slim Pilsener.
