[Cask at The Falcon (JDW), High Wycombe] Pale (some might say insipid) gold with a moderate white head and a slight fizz. Very thin and watery mouthfeel. It’s pretty bland with just vague hints of doughy bread, lemon, cardboard and vomit. Beers that taste of watered-down sick put me right off.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Straw coloured with a loose cream head; and a citrusy aroma; fresh, grainy body with some citrus, honey sweetness, and a grassy bitterness; leaving a soft grassy finish. Good stuff.

Cask at several places in Douglas. Almost clear pale amber. Floral nose with some hay. Mid sweet with light body and soft, firm mouthfeel. Some caramel, plenty of hay. Mid bitter finish, Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Albert Hotel, Douglas. Clear mahogany colour, creamy head. Chocolatey nose. Mid sweet with medium-light body. Soft with some caramel and soothing chocolaty finish. Nice.

Cask at Hamilton Hall Spoons. Goldrn brown clear thin lasting bubbly off white head. Its an ok bitter. Fine. Some hop some malt some clean flavours. Its just above average

Draught, nitrokeg (as Okells Bitter), aboard Isle of Man ferry. Hazy nut brown, creamy nitro head. Fruity hay-like aroma. Dry and light with creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant hay-like hops. Light nutty malt. Mid bitter finish. Very pleasant for a nitro dispenced bitter.

Beautifully smoked aroma, distinct peat smell. Rather ordinary in other characteristics. Dark with a frothy head, medium bodied and dry without flavour.
