Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW. Victoria SW1. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity citrus hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity citrus hoppy finish with a slightly bitter aftetaste.

bottle, pours a very dark brown, nearing black, with a medium dark tan head. Roasted malt, molassis, and an assertive hoppiness in the nose. Roasted malt and a bitter bakers chocolate kind of body, some hop bitterness and a little hint of smoke lingering in the finish. Light carbonation, the beer is silky smooth and medium in body. Good brew.

Nitro beige head over a ruby-red body. Smell of grassy hops with notes of grapefruits. Modest flavour of dark fruits sustained by spices and earthy malts. Quite light in the aftertaste, but fine mouthfeel (half, well-kept cask ale at Thomas Rigbys in Liverpool, 04.05.2009).

Half pint, hand pulled at Tomas Rigbys in Liverpool. Almost clear golden. Massive laceworks gradually disappearing. Floral-fruity to the nose. Fresh fruity taste with peaches added a spicy touch. Satisfying bitter ending. Easy to drink (04.05.2009).

Well kept half pint from cask at The Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Nitro creamy, white head over an amber body. Smooth smell of flowery hops. Subdued taste of fresh fruity hops followed by a developing bitter ending. Well bodied for its strength (03.05.2009).

Cask EBF 2008. Dark brown color. Lightly smoked nose. Tobacco leaves and dark chocolate. Smoky, woody notes with dark chocolates and cherries. Lingering smokiness in the finish. Nice.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Hazy amber with a thin cream head; red fruit aroma; red fruit flavours with a sweet nutty finish. Very straightforward and easy drinking.

Bottle: A bit unclear, golden, smaller, stable off-white head; distinctive flowery hoppy aromas cover a fruity-grainy, almost a bit toasty background; moderate to solid dry bitter flavour, light bodied; flowery-citrousy hops in the light dry bitter flavour. Not earth-shaking, but a good one............

(Cask at Crosse Keys JDW, London City, 16 Apr 2009) Chestnut colour with ruby hints. Foamy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of crystal malts and wild berries (raspberries, cowberries). Malty, fruity taste with wild berries and a nice, tangy, citrussy bittermess in a fairly dry finish. Nice one.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol (JDW) 19/04/09. slightly cloudy copper colour, with a moderate, off-white head. Sweet malt and red fruit aroma. Flavour began with some sweetness, before a touch of earthy hops and an easy, bitter finish. Ok.
