Bottle from a store in Split. Poured a lovely murky orange/red colour and a medium sized thick white head that went away slowly. The nose is nice, malt, honey (it’s quite flowery too), weak hops and alcohol and even weaker notes of lemon. Not bad, but not great. The taste is at first an assault of alcohol and hoppy bitterness, but a rather pleasant sweet, subtle honeyish malty background balances the severeness of the first two nuances of the flavour. Bitter hoppy lemon seed like aftertaste. The alcohol warms the mouth and, like the bitterness it’s way out of bounds for the style. No, I don’t like it all that much, but I can respect it in a way. Still, I’ve had far worse and this is possibly underrated (not by much though).

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a thick creamy light brown head. Sweet caramel roasted malt aroma. The taste was similiar with a caramel malt flavor that finished a bit metallic.

Draught. Peppery aroma, some wheat. Clear copper colour. Big stable white head, leaving good lace. Quite clean flavour, some yeast and pepper. Peppery aftertaste. Nice and drinkable, good tripel.

Nice reddish/brown coloured, pale brown head, subdued yeasty nose. Caramel and malty aroma with slight toffee and fruity notes, and unpleasant metallic taste.

Bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb This looked damn lovely, a big, thick tan head that went away slowly on top of a beautiful dark red body. The nose was yeasty, dusty quite a bity, unripe raspberries.. ok... good even. After that, the taste was a huge disappointment. A faint, weak (pleasant though) caramelly taste, slightly vinous. Tiny fruity and metally hints, and a touch of chewy hopiness in the aftertaste.... Is it really necessary for these non trappist dubbels to be tasteless ? Could be a good session beer, but far from the best in its category.

Bottled(330ml). -alc. 8%. Clear golden coloured, small white head. Sweet malty and spicy aroma with notes of coriander, honey and fruit. Short hoppy finish. Quite weak brew for 8.0%ABV.

Had this beer at the Bauhaus Hostel in Brugge. Nice strong beer that made me have a huge craving for Doritos (which I later found down the street). Beer certainly has a bite to it and a nice sweet fruity taste. Well worth trying by any beer afficianado.

Bottled. Pitch dark brown colour, big brown head, lacing. Aroma is raisin, metal slight malts and plum. Flavour is very metallic with nuts, chocolate, caramel and malts in it. The metallicness is so strong it ruins the beer. Not even passed it’s prime, as the stated BBE is 08/08... Long metallic aftertaste.

Bottle 0,33l at Ice Wharf Camden London NW1 19 Sep 06. Clear golden coloured. A pretty creamy head. Spicy and fruity aroma. Complex fruity flavour. A heavy, lasting sourish finish. Balanced.

Bottled. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is semisweet, and has some notes of alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet overall, almost like some of the sweeter Eastern European Lagers... Still, quite close to nothing, and boring.
