Bottled (BB 09/2007)
Golden color, lots of carbonation, quickly vanishing white head. Malty, dunky-fruity malt-liquer like aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweet malty rounded mouthfeel with very notable alcohol flavor and hints of corn. This is like Belgium version of Estonian strong lager.

Clear light orange color, short head. Aroma is sour of fruit, bit sharp and metallic, some alcohol. Sharp alcoholic taste. I pity myself buying a 4pack. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brugse Tripel on 26 Jun 2002 at 02:07 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: The amber colour makes it a bit dark for a triple, not negative ofcourse. The high alcohol percentage is absolutely not dominant, and the beer is very easy to drink.

The bottle noted best by 10/2001 and we drank it 2/2004. 11.2 oz brown bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a small light brown head. Slightly tangy aroma. Strong cherry flavor, although slightly medicinal. The cherry lingers on the aftertaste. Overall impression was a middle of the pack dubbel - although it may be better when fresh.

An amber beer with a beutiful head. The aroma is sweet of caramel. The flavor is of caramel, cloves, and hints of alcohol. It has an OK bitter end to compensate for the sweetness. A quite nice beer.

Amber colour, rather clear body. Off-white frothy head. Not lacing. Light hoppy aroma. The flavour is quite neutral in the beginning. The aftertaste has a second bittereffect, which is quite lasting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brugse Tripel on 30 Dec 2002 at 14:44 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.
