Tap at Flink Gegist festival. Black with small dark brown head. Strong roast, licorice, marzipan, some blackberries, sour red berries, coffee, ash, thick sweet malts. Quite sweet, medium bitter and light sour. Full thick bodied. Very nice.

Tap at FGF2018. Black with nice tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, ash, charcoal, nuttiness, light black pepper. Moderate sweet, big bitter. Over medium body and lots of soft carbonation. [ As Kwartje Upgrade (Vanilla) ].Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, light cocoa. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, vanilla - vanilla bean, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, malt bitter. Sampled from tap at Bakker Roodenburg during Sinterklaas’ Entry. Black with tan head. Soft creamy feel, loads of spices, ginger, cardemom, cinnamon, aniseseed, moccha, caramel, chocolate, orange peel rind. Big sweet and bitter. Full body, soft carbonation. Lovely ontopic sipper for this season.
