Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 02-2019. Dark color, medium frothy brown head. Aroma of dark roast, tobacco and ashes, and some dark chocolate. Bit whisky notes in taste, some tar and ashes, bit alcoholic. Bit too high on carbonation. Ok stuff.

Draught @ 9th. BBF 2017 [ 9th Borefts Beer Festival 2017 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Kwartje Upgrade Star Anise ].Unclear dark black brown colour with virtually no head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, anis, anis seed, star anis, wood, light to moderate dark chocolate - caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, star anis, wood, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to light flat. [20170922] 7-3-7-3-15

[ As Kwartje FireWire Lapsang ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, smoke, black tea - smoked tea leaves. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, smoked tea leaves, wood, smoked, dark malt, tea bitter. Body is medium, texture is oilyy, carbonation is soft to light flat.
