Heavily cloudy, but intense waxen-yellow-gold with a medium-sized white head atop, showing strong retention.
Tons of varied citrus in the nose gives way to pineapple, light coconut (???) and sure, if they wanna say wood in the commercial description, I’ll buy that. This coconut thing is certainly very odd and somewhat unsettling, though (not as pronounced in the nose, however). No alcohol, despite this being a lot stronger than expected.
And there’s the light coconut in the nose, though it’s anything but light in the flavor. Combining with the pineapple notes, it honestly tastes VERY much like a pina colada. At first I thought it was toasted coconut added, then maybe toasted oak, then maybe just a weird infection? Honestly, I have no idea, and though the palate somewhat acclimates to it, it never really disappears. The texture is soft, wheat-driven and with ample, mostly tight carbonation. Strange, very strange.

Can shared at Mechazilla event. Pours a cloudy, golden tangerine with a finger of creamy foam. Big, dank resiny nose with lemon, sudachi and green pineapple. Well-balanced on the palate. Body feels uber light and dangerously drinkable. Dry finish with light pepper and zest. One of the better DIPA’s I have had.

Big lime grapefruit and oranges in the nose. Dirty cloudy and lovely as hell. Smooth biscuity mouth with lots of lime and grapefruit and biscuity. So well balanced. A bit boozy in the finish which distracts a but otherwise such a great beer.

The appearance was a hazy/glossy burnt yellow color with a thin white little head.
The smell starts off with juicy sweet citrus and warms up into more of a ruby red grapefruit aroma.
The taste was basically the same with a light wheatiness to it. Light bitter to sweet citrus aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs light. Wheat plays nicely on the body.
Overall, this was a nice wheat based IPA. Pretty sure I could have again.

This was a poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt orange to crisp light almost yellow color with a bar pour’s kind of slim head that just bounced right on out of here.
The smell started off with a sweet to bitter grapefruit rind and pulp. Light pulp runs the gamut underneath. Subtle \"hop\" spices tries to hit (Amarillo hops, mmmm, I get it).
The taste was fairly malty sweet with the crisp contour of the Amarillo hops hitting all over in the tastebuds. Light in the aftertaste and running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a decent all around.
Overall, I’d say this was a pretty good APA that I could have again.

Tallboy can shared at the December MDF tasting. Hazy orange, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, earthy hops. The taste is herbal, earthy hops and caramel. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Tallboy can shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Hazy orange, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of earthy, piney hops, pale malt. The taste is earthy, piney hops, tropical fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, Nice.

On tap at the brewery. Very dark brown. Creamy tan head. Looks great. Nose is all toasted coconut and dark chocolate. Soft vinous notes. Taste has some roasted bitterness with a soft, vanilla sweetness running through. Light bodied and exceptionally drinkable. Super stuff.
