22 ounce bottle form Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of floral and citrus hop notes. The taste is bitter resiny hops with citrus and tropical notes. Melon as well. Some toffee malts in the background are pretty much dominated by the hops. Medium bodied.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, raspberries (tons of them), coffee and a decent amount of roasted malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Potent strong chocolate and raspberry flavour up front with the coffee notes falling behind. Aftertaste shows for a long while with the bitterness from the malt and coffee taking centre stage. Overall, a nice and potent fruit beer, that probably belongs in the sweet stout category. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 04-July-2011 sampled at home with a friend on 07-July-2011 in Washington.
