[Draft at the Bowie location] This is announced as an Australian Lager - never heard of the style, so it must be a new style for me - and probably should be added to Ratebeer ;-) I think this beer would be a good introduction into drinking craft beer - but I think I’m too "old" for that.

A pale yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of cardboard and corn. The flavor is sweet again with notes of corn and cardboard, leading to a dry slightly bitter finish.

[Draft at the Bowie location] A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet citrusy and wheaty. The flavor is sweet wheaty with lots of lemon - but I can’t find the coriander, so I don’t find it to style - and I find the lemon note to be too strong for me personally.

Sampled at RFD during RBSG 2006. ’04 on draft. Deep amber pour with a small head. Complex aroma of dried fruits and caramel. The flavor is delivered with a smooth body. There is just enough sweetness to get your attention, and the bitterness is firm, yet not overpowering. Great balance.

Poured extremely opaque black from my growler. Very little head, but again, it came from the growler. Roasted malt aroma with little or no hoopy smell. Initial flavor is lighter than the color might indicate with brown sugar, roasted malt and toffee flavors. The finish is only lightly smokey with coffee flavors. Warm, sweet, and crisp on the palate. Awesome beer, a must have from a solid brewer.

This beer surprises you all the way through. An clear copper color with white head. Very hoppy aroma with citrus notes. The taste is complex, hoppy, citrus, malty and grainy. This beer is great right until the finish which is far too astringent and acidic for the rest of the beer. This beer is aggressive which pays off until the end. Worth a try for you.

This is a belgian white all the way. Clear yellow color, almost no white head. Smells slighty wheaty, slightly citrus. Taste is lightly grainy and clean (think beer from hay). Finish is crips and clean. Not as acidic or astringent as other Belgian Whites, but again flavor is too simple to be transcendent.

A fosters imposter. Golden colored, tinted a slight brown. Malty, slightly hoppy aroma. Clean, crisp finish. Close your eyes and you’re drinking Fosters. Drinkable, but not unique.

Solid gold color with white head. Slightly fruity, slighty hoppy aroma. Flavor is crips and clean, simple. Clean finish, not malty or hoppy. I liked it compared to their other golden/blonde ales but lacked something for me.

Darker color than other amber ales with a slim white head. Color is closer to a porter than an amber. The flavor is malty with slight hints of fruit. Very clean on the palate with a slightly bitter finish. This beer is missing something though and too subtle to be as touted as it was.

Maple brown with a white creamy head. This beer had a sweet aroma to it. The taste was stronger than most other nut browns, very sweet and sugary. The flavor is extremely strong toffee, with a brown sugar and maple finish. Very clean after taste. All in all wonderful, but a little too sweet to be consumed in mass. Worth a pint.
