Draught at Coastal Kitchen, 11/8/15.
Another beer from this place where the waitstaff was very unsure of the details. Definitely seemed that they were confident it was Diamond Knot, and they said it was a porter, but all of the reviews (and commercial deScription) of Possession Porter reference it being dark ebony which this most definitely was not.
Looking very PNW Red ale-like. It does have more darker hues than a typical red ale, but is very far from the ebony of any porter I’ve ever seen. Clarity is high with a dark beige head that shows moderate retention.
Spicy hoppiness seems to signify that of a winter red ale, so I guess that works here? Honestly, I have no idea what the beer was, but I’ve got to imagine they at least got the brewer right. Light chocolate, dry coffee suggestions and a little bit of caramel.
Sticky caramel, soft chocolate suggestions, spicy hops and a moderate carbonation. Kind of half way between a red ale and a porter and quite drinkable. Good mouthfeel and also attenuation. Gains a bit more bitterness with a little bit of raisin and plum, with breathing/warming. No flaws or alcohol.

Bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Nose brings out bready malts, resinous hops and toasted nuts. Flavour isn't as nice, with bready malt, some caramel malt, and some resin. Dry and simple, but pretty well-balanced. It's okay.

500mL bottle. Amber slick looking. This I another brewery stuck in the past. Tastes like what big beers were a decade ago, a mishmash of hops and caramel malts. Fortunately, not bitter at least.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours an oily golden color with a patchy head and lace. This comes off as an Oktoberfest beer, rather than an amber. Smooth, slightly rich flavor, and quite refreshing. Light, but quite drinkable. Good beer.

12oz can poured into keg shaped glass. Canned on 7/22, consumed on 8/29. Pour is dark honey, clear. Aroma is surprisingly not as hoppy as I would have predicted and not as hoppy as the previous few IPAs. The aroma has a strong malt character with hops (as opposed to the other way around). Some liquid malt and some woodsy malts with nondescript mildly bitter hops. Flavor lowers the malt presence and amps the hop presence. Bitterness is mild-moderate, lightly cookie crust malts, and again sharp and clean hops but not a particular description I can give (maybe grapefruit, not really cedar). Lingering light hop bitterness.

Bottle from Safeway-Ephrata. Based on the score was expecting to be overwhelmed, but that’s not the case. Fairly mild brew (sampled after Iron Horse Gary, to be fair), nothing much stands out. Some caramel malts, but not much in the way of hop presence. Solid beer, but weak IPA.

On Tap at the Everett Craft Beer fest Light amber with a small light tan head. Decent light toasted malt aroma, rather bland soft woody flavors. Nothing special, I like the "second runnings" idea as a traditional way to get two beers from one mash. But this doesnt quite fly.... or float, I should say.

Dark amber, unfiltered and strongly carbonated. Hops flavor up front, creamy medium body. Mildly bitter hops finish. Inoffensive yet lacking any memorable character.

500 ml bottle from Malt & Vine. 8.3% ABV (Ridiculously Limited Release - and no GTIN). Pours dark copper with a beige head. Aroma of ripe stone fruits, caramel and alcohol. Rather fresh and tingly in the nose. Med + body. Flavor is somewhat roasty malt, some leather/tobacco and mixed citrus pine. Maybe wood notes. It is quite flavorful, and far from excessively hoppy. It is woody/bitter in the finish. Nice drink.

On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Nose smells like an apple pie - with cinnamon and apple. Flavour is along the same lines - pretty muted flavours, with light apple spice and cinnamon. Decent - smelled better than it tastes.
