Good, thick cream-coloured head; beautiful bright chestnut beer. Bit nutty, woody, hazelnuts, dark malts, melanoidins. Even a fine, short smoked touch, bit as roasted chestnut. Dark malts, but the little bitterness seems to come more from the roast than from hops. Medium bodied, bit still, carbonation turning out to be fast gone. Nice, even if far away from Dunkel topbeers.

Shortlived white head over almost still, clear golden beer. Bit spicy, almost peppery, pale malts. Even more peppery in the mouth; malts with a more general spicy background, and a short bitterish finish. Light body, feels a bit undercarbonated all the same. Long-lasting flavours. Nice, but Kellerbier can pack more punch.

0,1l from bottle at Wiener Bierfest. yellow rather hazy color, small white head. smells ciderish, ripe apples, citric, lightly tart. Nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, spices, herbs, light sweetness, Saison yeast, tobacco, ripe fruits, cider apples, light tannins, light oak, vanilla. finishes lightly sweet with notes of ripe fruits, cider apples and tobacco notes. Nice one, lightly sweet, good complexity, rather good one overall, rather steep price point

Bottle at Stiegl Brauwelt, Salzburg Saturday 2nd November 2024. Pours hazy gold, nice refreshing, pleasant hoppiness, touch dry, little lemon edge. Good.

No head but cream ring; brown to cola-coloured beer. Old brown with all the ticks: lactic acid, wood, chocolate, cherries - like a Rodenbach Grand Cru with a dash of buttermilk. Sour-sweet, red fruit, chocolate, lactic acid,... Acidburn and -thinning, lipsmacking acidity, medium bodied all the same, good carbonation. Pretty good R. Gr. Cru clone.

Bottle at the brewery pours out hazy straw topped with a white head. Nose is nice sweet light grain malts some fruit notes. Taste is more of the nice light grain malts some sweetness and fruit.

Gleich nach den fassgelagerten Spezialitäten kam dieses Stiegl Wildshut Spezialbier ins Verkostungsglas. Dieses ist kupferrot und hat wenig Schaum. Ziemlich säuerlich mit vollen Weißweinaroma. Sehr speziell, aber doch gut trinkbar. Gerne mal zum Ausprobieren, aber extra kaufen würde ich es mir nicht.

Stone bottle from Stiegl Getränkeshop in Salzburg. Color: Slightly hazy golden. Fast disappearing head. Aroma: Malty, herbal, light tartness. Taste: Malty, light to moderate tart, fruity lemon notes combined with sweetish honey notes, subtle floral and herbal, subtle dates. Moderate sweet. Almost no bitterness. Just below medium body, low carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Dry-ish mouthfeel at fruity finish. Interesting.
