Dégustée en fût à l’établissement de Montréal coin Ste-Catherine/University. De couleur ambrée-orange foncée et claire. Nez léger de levures fruitées (agrumes), légèrement épicé (notes de muscade, traces de gingembre), léger de grains de malt sucrés avec des notes de caramel et de houblon herbeux. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses et crémeuses. Léger goût de levures fruitées (agrumes) et moyennement épicées (muscade, traces de coriandre et de gingembre) accompagné d’un léger goût de grains de malt sucrés lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de caramel doux puis en finale l’on retrouve des notes amères de houblon herbeux.. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux avec des notes fruitées (zest d’agrumes). (hiver 2006-07)

Aroma is spiced malts, with Christmas smells. Did they grind up a Christmas cake and throw it into the mix? Has little head and an okay amber body. Flavour is amber malts and mistletoe. Okay finish. This one just isn’t quite working, I don’t like the floral bent on it.

Draught at the brewpub in Toronto. Aroma of metal and wet dog. Clear brown colour, almost no head. The flavour is quite malty, hint of acid to balance. Hint of spicy hops in the finish.

A hazy amber ale with a thin off white head. A classic banana and cloves aroma, a bit off. In mouth, a light and smooth weizen like bananas, a bit pungeant, not bad. On tap at Mondiale 2010.

Dégustée en fût, à la brasserie coin Crescent. Nez fruité (sirop de cerises et notes de cerises naturelles), légèrement malté (caramel très doux) avec des notes herbeuses. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort et une texture sirupeuse fruitée. Goût fruité sucré avec de légères notes sûres (léger de cerises marasquin et notes de cerises naturelles) et de petites notes de malt pâle lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût malté de caramel très doux et un goût plus sucré de sirop de cerises puis une finale aux notes amères de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées). Post-goût moyen, aux notes amères de houblon herbeux avec une légère aigreur de fruits (moût de cerises) (dégustée en 2006).

A golden amber ale with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a lightly sweet cinnamon with nutty notes. In mouth, a sweetish Vienna malt with light German hops, a bit of boiled veggies, unremarkable. On tap at 3 Brasseurs, St-Catherine St., Montreal, Nov. 20 2009.

A nice amber brown ale with a thick light moka head. A lightly herbal malt with nutty notes and warming alcohol, yeasty notes. In mouth, agood nutty malt, caramel, herbal a bit off. Nice torrefaction. On tap at Ste-Catherine location, June 2009.

A hazy blonde ale with a thick lacing white head. A pleasant yeasty aroma with light catnip notes and lemon. In mouth, a light saison with light catnip notes, a bit watery. On tap at Mondiale 2009.
