Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of hops and some rice. Taste is light malty and hoppy, quite watery. Accompanies well with chinese food. Average beer

Hint of burnt rubber, along with grassy hop. The "skunk" was gone in moments. Medium gold color with a white head that filmed immediately. Sort of a barley malt sweetness, not thinking corn or rice at all. Unfortunately it is a little light on the bitter, and the finish does seem to have a hint of skunk. I’m a bit sensitized to that sort of aroma, because I used to work with mercaptans. Methyl mercaptan exploded all over me once. Whether it was light blemished or the skunk is natural, it is not a bad beer. Heck of a lot more character than many lagers.

330ml bottle. Golden colour; white head fades immediately leaving it rather flat looking and lifeless; watery, some hops and malt - refreshing. That’s all.

Bottle. Pour was a bit skunk, but when I let the head settle, aroma mostly mild hop. Certainly can tell the adjunct used in this one is rice. Flavor isn’t bad, and when cold, nice pair to Chinese food.

The other decent premium lager I’ve had is Kronenburg. This tsing is a 12 oz green bottle, label looks a little different than is displayed here. No skunk when I pop the top and it has a very clean mild aroma. Has bubbles constantly arising from the bottom and the color is typical pale clear yellow american beer. Very good decent first taste impression. Well behaved with above average carbonation tingle. Nice even taste that cannot be much different than american lagers. Has a bit of alky impact in there. Nothing really great but well behaved and enjoyable. No tremendous outstanding personality and some of us like it that way. Finish has a strange industrial mild bitterness to it that hangs on for a minute or two. However, it is not as industrial as King Lager. Better than sam adams boston lager and Saranac traditional lager.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with a white head. The aroma was soft and grainy probably because of the rice ingredience used to make it. The flavor was a smooth pils like taste of grain. Worked pretty well with the spicy Chinese dish that I was eating.
