(Bottle 33 cl) 4.5% ABV in my version. Pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Lovely nose full of aroma hops. Soft and quite sweetish malty with a touch of chicken fodder (from the added corn or rice). No real bitterness. 291105

A yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a slight touch of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and a dry end. A boring beer - but I don’t find anything wrong with it.

Second Time Sampled:
Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of smoked malt, coffee and caramel. Medium-bodied; Strong smokey flavours with malt and coffee the strongest. Aftertaste is deep and bitter - showing good flavours throughout. Overall, a pretty good beer - definitely one to sample if here in China! I sampled this 355 mL bottle (labeled 6.0% abv) purchased from a small grocery store in Beijing, China last year, drunk during the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Olympics on 08-August-2008. Sampled at a restaurant in a shopping centre with the Four Seasons hotel in Shanghai, PRC on 18-March-2005.

Bottle. Pale look. Not as good as I expected it would have been. Bitter, and a dry finish. Probably would have been better if it had been consumed with food.

Dark brown colour with lot of chocolate aroma. Light roasted with a litte hint of coffee. A light and refreshing beer with a nice aroma. Nice after a few lagers but a bit weak compeared with ordinary stouts.

Bottle. Light golden with white head. Some malt in aroma and taste, but generally very light. A little citric aftertaste. (050923)

Bottle. Dark red-brown beer with beige head. Some coffee, chocolate and caramel aroma. Taste is much the same, without the coffee, and a bit disappointingly little roasted. Medium mouthfeel. Thx to KØLF. (050923)
