Moncada Brewery
Microbrewery in London Borough of Brent, Greater London, England 🏴
Established in 2011
Closed in 2021
We began Moncada Brewery in the colourful area of Notting Hill. Julio surrounded himself with like-minded craft beer obsessives and became inspired by the neighbourhood – creative, vibrant and hemmed with diversity – and the Notting Hill beer range was born, which makes up our core range today.
Later, in 2017, we moved to Dollis Hill to expand and explore a new locality. A new place marked a new start, and the Blueprint beer series was launched, focusing on experimentation and limited edition releases, with a touch of eccentricity.
Relocated once more in Spring 2018 to the current address.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - London. Day 1. Pours oily black with a slight, foamy tan head. Wow, good stuff, really rich, some bittersweet chocolate, coffee, cake frosting. Full bodied, oily and chewy, wth fine fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, more gooey chocolate, hints of cherries. Fun beer.

Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate custard, sweet tones, light roast malts, brown sugar melt. Taste comprises more chocolate custard, mellow roast, dried fruits, molasses, sweet vibes, candy shop, Birds custard powder. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost. Fun impy ... does what it says on the tin without getting too sweet.
Thanks Angelo

On tap at BrewDog Tower Hill. Cloudy deep red russet colour lasting beige head. Decent Flemish red some sourness. Some strawberry jam sweetness. It's extraordinary. 3 years ago if you said Moncada would brew a Flemish red I would have laughed. It's good. Look I love this style and Ang is a friend. So I am predisposed to like this beer. Smooth in mouth like a cask beer. . Good juicy mouthfeel. Good pippy spur raspberry flavour. Some sourness. Very light balsamic vinegar. Really good though. Surprise of the night. Loved it.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of vanilla custard, some caramel, and cocoa. Flavour is quite artificial, with lots of custard extract, vanilla extract, and some cocoa. So artificial and adjunct-dominated. It's fun, but not an elegant beer by any means.
