2020-12-02, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 9% ABV, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Pitch black colour. Tried this one just a few days after the Megadestroyer, similarly it's lean but full bodied, with moderate residual sweetness; there is some dark malt, dark caramel, light candy liquorice going on, maybe slightly metallic and little more liquorice than the Megadestroyer.
Clean. Worth doing a side to side next.
2019-04-21, bottle, 9% ABV, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Black colour with thick brown head. Nice arom aof roasted malt, hint of coffee and smoke, burnt wood. Good body strength; the roasted character is dominant, with just a touch of dark chocolate and coffee; the sweetness is quite restrained, correct bitterness but some of it comes from the burnt sugar; the ashy character is a bit harsh. But overall it's a safe choice, solid.
2010-04-01, bottle, 9% ABV, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Black color; big head; nice lace. Nice coffee aroma, roasted barley, light milk. It has a medium body strength, with strong roasted malt flavor, milky, but also a bit too ashy; light alcohol perception. Not the best Imperial Stout, but still quite good.
2010-03-23, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 8% ABV, 7-4-7-2-13=33
Black color; generous creamy head, beige. Plenty of roasted malt in the aroma. Highly carbonated, the flavor is a burst of roasted malt that has a harsh effect on my tongue, so, even if the body is correctly strong, the mouthfeel is dry. Quite evident liquorice too. The final, as expected, is full of ashes and burnt coffee, with hidden caramel, and the bitterness all comes from there. Too much for me.

Bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, oats and some coffee notes. Flavour of smooth roasted malt and oats - pretty one-dimensional, but still well-made.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours cloudy blond / orange. Aroma and flavour of banana, caramel malt, citrus, clove and wheat. The higher ABV is not noticeable, but the taste is full-bodied. Delicious offering from Howe Sound.
