Bradfield Brewery
Microbrewery in High Bradfield, South Yorkshire, England 🏴

Trivia: As the family had enjoyed 2 generations of farming at Watt House Farm and not wanting the cows to feel left out, some of the beers are named after breeds of cattle.

Cask half-pint in Spa Lane Vaults, a Wetherspoons in Chesterfield on 20th Nov 2014. Hazy golden yellow with a smooth white head that gave off some good lacing. Bland aroma and taste, slight lemon/citrus feel but not a lot of anything, creamy texture to the body but no flavours to report about: a strange one. Might have been the first pull of the day, but that is no excuse to it’s lack of taste.

Half-pint, well-kept cask ale at The Blue Bell. Clear copper coloured body. A bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Spotty lacing. Grass and bread on the nose. Mixture of nuts, caramel, and leafy hops to the taste buds. Bittersweet ending. Medium to thin bodied. Standard Brit bitter, more or less (York 11.07.2014).

Brown ale with pale beige, creamy head and deep, warm chestnut brown colour. Dried fruits and caramel malts, bit metallic, finishing very lightly toasted. Nice session beer, as an old-fashioned English brown ale should be.

On cask in Stocksbridge PS FC club house - A rich clear deep red body, lacing white head. Nose is caramel and malts, with a robust cake fruit smell to it. Taste is well rounded with toffee, caramel and forest fruits at the end. A nice surprise in a football ground!
