Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield on 14th February 2024. Clear gold with shallow whitish foam and scant lacing. Grassy hop aroma. Rich grassy bitterness in-mouth and a finish of zesty citrus and grassiness. Light body and a zingy mouthfeel. How beer should taste! Exquisite

Cask @ The Hebden (formerly The Pub) Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a creamy head. Only just tapped so told will probably be at its best in a day or so. Hoppy at my time of drinking with light tropical fruit notes evident, verging on candy-sweet. Has a bitterness in its finish.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with an off-white head. Certainly a hoppy stout, although not at Black IPA levels. Has some roasted malt character.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small tan head and some lacing. The aroma is mainly roasted malts plus a hint of mushrooms. Roast malts again to the fore in the mouth, where it fluctuates between slightly sweet and a little bitter – leading to a bittersweet finish ! Liquorice and hints of vanilla in the flavour too. This is decent enough if a little watery.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Clear brighter golden with a head. Fairly fruity edging towards juice like, but there's still a good hoppiness available in here too.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small beige head. There’s roast malts and chocolate in the aroma. It’s sweet and creamy in the mouth with dark fruitscorast malts and cola. Later on some liquorice comes through as well and this dominates the bitter finish. It’s a decent straight up stout.

Oldham Beer Festival 2023. Dark ale, not too sweet nor too stated in its cake style ingredients, but fine enough.
