Bradford Beer Festival 2020. Darker and fuller tasting, but not quite as strong tasting as expected, although it's not that flavoursome either with its chocolate struggling here.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Straw gold with a soft haze. Suds of lasting, white head. Nose has fairly astringent lemon hop, to the point at which I’m wondering if it’s quite right. There’s definitely an acetic note to this. Taste isn’t quite the same, but it’s pretty sharp. Light body. Bitter finish. Usually top notch golds from this brewer, but this is wonky.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a frothy head. Hoppy, but with an undistinguished hoppiness. There's some sugars in its nose.

12/4/2019. Cask at the Draughtsman @ Doncaster Station. Pours mid to dark brown with a ruby tint and a lasting slightly frothy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, sweet toffee, vanilla and lactose. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Tasty brew, very drinkable.

Cask. Fat Cat, Sheffield. Pale gold. Light haze. Froth of white. Nose has bready grain. Pithy citrus. Orange oil. Touch of flora and minty herb. Taste is clean, pithy bitter. A little drying and tangy. Light body. Fine carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Really good cask golde.
