York Beer Festival 2024. Very dark. Lightly cherried stout, the flavour takes some time to come through - nothing Belgian-like though, just a mix of dark malts and fruit.

Cask at the Bath Hotel, Sheffield. Pours black with a thick, creamy beige. Aromas of chocolate and cherry, as expected. Taste more of the same. Does what it says on the tin, and isn't a novelty beer. Creamy texture, clean finish.

Bottle. Nose is slightly woody hint of licorice. Taste is sweet dark malt, licorice, blackcurrant, hint of chocolate, almost sour hint of soy. Very serviceable

Skipton Beer Festival 2024. Not particularly a typical Kölsch in this instance - hoppy, dryish, very much cask conditioned, but regardless of being misrepresented it's a nice lightly hoppy brew.

York Beer Festival 2023. Dark clear golden in appearance. Sweet malts and mild caramels make this quintessentially seasonal taste much more fuller than it is.

Skipton Beer Festival 2023. Golden coloured ale. Mildly sweet-hoppy brew in both aroma and taste at an easy strength. Slightly soapy with a bitter finish.

Skipton Beer Festival 2023. Dark-red with a hint of brown about it. Certainly mild tasting, although feels stronger and fuller than its strength with a decent dark malt aroma and taste infused with a sweetness.
