Bright clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and for the abv, a little thin. Decent fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth malts, a trace of unsweet toffee. Touches of sherry and brandy with a little floral bitterness. Trace of citrus. Not bad at all, thin but pretty drinkable.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A reddish amber pour with a tight cream head; dry, fruity aroma with a hint of smoke; fruity caramel body - but not sweet due to a dry spicy bitterness; then along dry creamy biscuity finish. Very good indeed.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Gryphon, Bristol 10/3/2017. Copper in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Apricot and a touch of tangerine, some yeasty grains, touch of bubblegum character, before a soft finish with hint of spice. Fine.
