Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly buttery, lightly bitter. Meh, not very good. Although, it’s drinkable and by no means filthy. But not something I would order again very soon.

Cask at the Queen Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. A bright amber pour with a tight cream head; tropical fruit aroma with pineapple and apricot; fresh fruity apricot taste, dry and smooth; then sharply bitter with some pine resin; leaving a dry bitter finish with almond and peach stones. A rather good attempt at an American style IPA.

Cask at the Hovelling Boat Inn - Ramsgate. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. Somewhat juicy citrus in the nose, melon, tangerine, pale bread, biscuit. Light sweet flavour with mild rindy bitterness, lemon and tangerine, biscuity pale malts, hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with nips of pale grain husk, more citrus rind, biscuit, tangerine. Not bad.
