Description
Founded back in the Summer of 2013, Beer52 was inspired by a motorcycle road trip that our founder, James Brown, took with his Dad. Stopping at breweries in Belgium along the way, he found his love of craft beer. He set out to visit a new country every month in search of the best beers, his friend Fraser jumped on board for the ride and since then Beer52 has become the world's most popular beer club.

Beer52 didn't become the UK's most popular craft beer club for nothing - we got to where we are by giving beer drinkers the best damn beers on the planet. Our resident beer experts have visited breweries all around the world, in the search of the most interesting brews they can find. We deliver a carefully curated case of these craft beers from our favourite microbreweries every month.

Thin off white head left a collar on a hazy dark lemon coloured still body. Chalk & citrus aroma. Medium to thin bodied, airy over the tongue with a sharp clean finish. Bitter pithy tastes with lemon, grapefruit, salt & hops. Refreshing!

Minimal off white head left a collar on a murky brown still body. Raisin, malt, fig & cherry aroma. Medium bodied, slightly tingly to the fore soft oily back. Sweet tasting with demerara, banana, malt, yeast, Christmas cake & a rich raisin & grape finish. Very nice!

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a billowing creamy coloured head; the aroma has some yeast, but also orange and lime; the taste is sour and very citrusy - lemon, grapefruit and lime mainly, but the body is strangely creamy in texture. Rather odd.

330ml can at home on 10th May 2019. Poured into my huge 'Judas' glass, it looked fine, large white head on a light golden body that held a slight haze. Citrus leanings and fairly bitter from start to finish. OK but nothing to get excited about. Juicy enough with grapefruit like semi-tartness being the biggest flavour and aroma.

330ml can from Beer 52: BB 18th Aug 19. Poured into a Chimay chalice at home in the early hours of 6th May 19. Hazy pale yellow/orange body with floaters, full white blanket of tight bubbles on top. Sour and nasty dishwater aroma and taste, if this is where 'craft beer' is going then I am sodding off in the opposite direction. Citrusy and unpleasant from start to finish.

29th April 2019; Shrewsbury Beer Share Gathering at Chez Sophie. Only four of us this week, so mostly small bottles and cans were broached. This is one I took, a 330ml bottle (BB 28th Dec 2019) from my Beer 52 stash. Very pale, straw colour, mini-haze with a white head sat on top. Got the Ginseng Tea bit but failed to find any Sancho Pepper within the brew. A strange one really.

29th April 2019; Shrewsbury Beer Share Gathering at Chez Sophie. Only four of us this week, so mostly small bottles and cans were broached. This another 330ml can I took (BB 28th Dec 2019) from my Beer 52 collection. Golden pour, mini-haze and a white head. Not that Hoppy and not that Sour, but a pleasant enough beer with a tropical fruitiness in both the nose and taste. I didn't find the Peach aromas and flavours Mat did, more leaning towards Lemons for me.

29th April 2019; Shrewsbury Beer Share Gathering at Chez Sophie. Only four of us this week, so mostly small bottles and cans were broached. I brought this 330ml can (BB 28th Dec 2019) from my Beer 52 collection. Deep, dark ruby body, head a light tanned affair. Raspberries in the aroma and taste, some mild choclate esters and flavours too. The dregs were bitter, but overall it was like a raspberry milk shake.

330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April '19. Pours misty golden yellow, frothy white head. Aroma peachy. Taste is quite peachy, soft fruity character. Not particularly sour, but a nice summery beer all the same.

330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April '19. Thanks Jeremy for this. Pours dark ruby, frothy beige head. Light chocolate nose. Taste brings chocolate, subtle raspberry with a soft tang. Comfortingly light milky stout overall, soft bitterness. A little strange this contract-brewing thing, as doesn't give you much of an impression of the brewery on the label.
