(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Strand, London, 3 Aug 2010) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with orange, mandarin and floral hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange, mandarin, dried apricots and fresh, floral hops in the finish. Light body, balanced sweetness, generous floral bitterness. Refreshing, nice and highly drinkable.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive amber with a loose white head; aromas of tropical fruits and butterscotch; think in the mouth with the same tropical fruit flavour followed by a good blast of English hops. I rather liked this.

500ml bottle. Pours light golden with a medium head. Mostly caramel malt with a hint of grapefruit hops. Some sweet malt to start and a light bitter finish. Sweet aftertaste. Low carbonation. Would probably be good at a bbq.

28th June 2010. On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon, Essex and clearly not retired! Hazy pale gold beer. No real head. Dry palate. My first pint was green and appley but landlord Andy poured me another from the next barrel which was in much better shape. Clean pale malt. A light touch of hop, slightly sweet. Unremarkable but pleasant drinking.

12th April 2010. Clear gold beer. Very light carbonation. Semi dry palate. Not too much malt, just enough to provide a base for some nice hops that cut through. Orange and grapefruit and a dash of spcice. Not a hop bomb but the hops cut through well here.
