Description
Welbeck is one of the great traditional landed estates bordering Sherwood Forest. It is home to an artisan village, producing specialist foods and crafts in a beautiful rural setting.
General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. Itโs housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.
The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Orange/gold and clear with a thin white head. Smells of limeade and a bit of TCP. Sweet taste with a bitter finish, and a bit handsoap note in the aftertaste. Weird but not impossible.

500ml bottle: BBE Nov 18. Drank at home on 19th Aug 18. Looked good in the glass, black with a beige topping. Malty and smooth, light vanilla and chocolate notes in both the nose and taste, roasted and toasted maltiness throughout. Nothing strong or provocative, just a decent dark brew without any fuss.

Pours a clear light amber colour with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma is malty, some caramel and citrusy fruit. Moderately sweet malt taste, some red fruit flavours and a pleasant bitterness. Long bone dry finish, a bit watery but a pleasant drop.
