The appearance was a rugged burnt orange close to brown color with no head nor lace.
The aroma had some ginger, allspice, nutmeg and clove up front playing against the pumpkin fleshy sweetness that wanted to come out. Some light caramel/toffee malts lean in on the background.
The flavor had the spices at the forefront beating back the malt presence. Some butterscotch seemed to come out just a little bit. Sly aftertaste of the spices. No finish.
The feel was between light and medium bodied leaning to more of a sipping quality about it. Carbonation played decently with the spice, adequate harshness but not invading. ABV felt fine.
Overall, kudos to whoever put this in here as a spice/vegetable beer because if there are bock qualities in this beer, that ship has sailed! Still, to not knock the beer too much, it was good for what it was - a decent Fall sipper.

The appearance was a pale burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off immediately. Sliding lace.
The aroma had some coriander, light grassy to floral tones, some mild leather, delicate earthiness and a touch of honey.
The flavor did a decent job of blending all of it together, but seemed to leave out the leather part. I didn’t mind. Semi-dry sweet aftertaste claiming the finish in the same sort of manner.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Coriander spice is super delicate. Carbonation felt fine and so was the ABV.
Overall, decent white IPA, whatever those are supposed to be are these days. I could come back to this in warmer weather.

Growler share with Doug.
We both poured into snifters.
The appearance as a black color with an off white foamy white head that slid off at a moderate pace. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet coffee creamer trying to blend with some sweet meat, sly smokiness and then a weird semi-saltiness to it, acceptable but it made me think.
The flavor started sweet through the blend of the coffee creamer and sweet meat. Delicate tones of milk chocolate came in to lean towards a sweet chocolate to meaty aftertaste which I did like. Finish was slightly sticky, but acceptable.
The palate was about medium bodied with a sipping sort of quality going on because of the saltiness and the smokiness. Carbonation felt fine and so was the ABV.
Overall, pretty good beer, perhaps for personal preference but boy, was this guy different or what. Yes, a little bit of a palate wrecker and a beast.

Grower share with Doug and Henry.
We all poured into mugs.
The appearance was a red color with a pale white foamy head. Delicate lace.
The aroma centered around some sweet grains with a delicate touch of grassy hops. Light caramel malts slide in underneath.
The flavor yielded to a semi-earthy to sweet contour balancing the grains to the malts to the hops. Light toast. Clean malty aftertaste with a quick finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed like it sat just a touch under with a pretty good sessionability about it. Good carbonation about it. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty well balanced Irish red ale worthy of more pours.

The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off extremely quick. No lace.
The aroma had some rugged roasty coffee beans, dark chocolate nibs and a little bit of earthiness.
The flavor was moderately roasty, an ample amount of bitterness came in underneath. Slight roast in the aftertaste. Crisp little finish.
The feel was roughly about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under. Pretty rugged roasty sort of abrasiveness along my tongue. ABV felt appropriate. Carbonation felt fine.
Overall, good for what it was, but I saw \"chocolate\" in the name and thought there would have been a bit more.

The appearance was a ruddy dark burnt orange almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slight stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty nuts, milk chocolate and a sturdy caramel/toast malt base. Light toffee notes and super light coffee tones.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the previously mentioned aromas. Barely any coffee. Light nutty aftertaste and finish.
The feel was medium bodied with some smoothness along my tongue. Good carbonation and ABV.
Overall, nice as a brown ale, but slightly lacking in coffee. Maybe again, not sure.

Draught at Dorchester Brewing, 2/4/17.
Clear, light-mahogany with a small, tan head showing low retention.
Stale, beany-like coffee, bread, sourish grains and light roast in the nose continue the trend of underwhelming, flawed, messy, muddled beer that is Dorchester Brewing.
Extremely undermalted with a thin, grainy, sourish character, stale coffee, old roast and loose, watery carbonation. Very little redeeming quality here.

Pours a brown/black from a bottle, medium quickly dissipating head. Light coffee and chocolate aroma, similar flavor, heavy mouthfeel, nearly stout-like. Good beer.
