Buying this can at beerolution, Troisdorf, in april 2024. Drinking this can two days ago, at Epalinges with my wife. A old school ipa, rich, malty, resinous, dry and smooth, touch of pineapple and tropical fruit, typical bitterness with a touch of citra.

Motor oil with a faint olive rim. Mocha, leather, Bourbon, vanilla. Bourbon & vanilla foremost. Alcohol & fusels. Coffee arrives after some time, in the nether throat regions. Not quite 'boozy', if it comes near, but the spirit is too refined. Complex, almost vinous. Very sticky, viscous as few, voluptuous. Utterly full bodied, furious alcoholheat. Mild carbonation. Impressive beer, iron fist in a velvet glove.

[2023] 500mL bottle. Pours black with a very thin tan head. Tons of rye and molasses, dark sugars, and hefty bourbon barrels on the nose. Flavour has a rich roasty character, rye, thick molasses, plenty of bourbon barrels. Super rich and well-integrated. Fantastic.

Intense rye barrel notes, stingy whisky, oak, vanilla, toffee, wood and some molasses, roastiness, chocolate sauce and caramel. Quite massive and intense barrel bomb. Tasty slow sipper.

Rich and strong, quite boozy. Plenty of barrel, rye spiciness, dark sugar, some dark berries in the finish. Hefty but smooth, excellent.

On a flight at the Whole Foods bar (Rocket-In), Laguna Niguel on 27th March 2025. Son-in-Law Matthew goes to the Gym across the road and I get two flights of four beers in while he keeps fit and drives me back to his place, great system! Nice Black IPA, lovely looking pour, dark brown with a neat tanned crust on top. Dry malty front with a piney hop rear end. hidden fruitiness in there too.

Sweet roasted malty with lots of chocolate, vanilla, cocoa nibs, full body, sweet maple, great nutty accents, bourbon infused dark malty longing finish. Beautiful.
