Description
Blue Bee Brewery is an independent brewery in the heart of the valley of beer in Sheffield, England.

Blue Bee was set up in 2010 by Richard Hough, former head brewer at Abbeydale, who has also done stints at Acorn, Crown, Spire, Raw and Marble. Starting his own brewery allows him to use this invaluable experience on his own terms, creating beers that are noted for “quality, consistency and with a slight addiction factor”. In 2014 the business was acquired by Reet Ale Pubs, which runs three pubs in Sheffield.

Beer Number 2 at the Bradford Beer Festival 2025. Strong stout, slightly negating the style flavour here but a full-bodied mouthful. Typically my pourer went well over the third mark on a brew I didn't want too much of.

From the cask on my visit to the Alexandra hotel in Derby pre match. Pours a deep pure orange with no head. Aromas & tastes of sharp citrus including grapefruit & mango. Very intense over powering the hops. Didn't finish the pint, not often that happens

Beer number one at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2025. A nice reliable cask producer to begin with and a palate-agreeing hoppy start here.

Beer number six at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2025. Hoppy and fruity as the hop names might suggest, slightly more of the former for me.
