500 ml bottle. Dark amber body with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee and some dark chocolate. Flavor is mild malty, slightly roasted with hint of dry fruit and chocolate, not very bitter. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. Decent, but a bit plain.

Medium beige head. Clear dark brown body with light carbonation. Roasty syrupy plastic aroma with chocolatey soy sauce notes. Dry-sweet earthy roasty honey taste with plastic notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty plastic aftertaste with syrupy honeyish notes. Nice, drinkable, unusual, harmonic. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

500ml bottle: best before 20 Aug 2013. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 2 Apr 2013. Light amber to dull golden body with carbonisation bubbles rising towards a swiftly reducing head of white foam. Yet another golden brew with citrus notes running straight through it, were my first thoughts: they however changed as I drank the beer. Crisp, refreshing and fairly bitter, the citrus feel getting less and less, with the bittering hops taking over from the aromatic ones once you get into the pint. Original review text: 3rd Jan 2019; cask, hand-pulled half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates, Shropshire. Golden bodied ale with a white, lasting head. Floral aroma with a spice twist, the taste appeared to have a cinnamon flavour, a strange one all round, but I enjoyed it.

50cl bottle, BBE 23.10.13. Poured copper color with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is light spicy, yeasty with citrus, biscuit and bready notes. Flavor has the same spicyness, biscuit and caramel, light hoppyness. Light bodied, short light bitter finish. Refreshing, easy, decent bitter.

50cl bottle from Citymarket, Vantaa. BBE 11/13. Clear golden, thin bubbly white head. Biscuit malty , nutty, fruity aroma. Flavor has biscuit, malt and citrus. Unfortunately quite harsh finish. watery. Easy to drink though.

On tap (keg) at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Opaque very dark brown to black colour, large beige head. Fruity and roasty aroma, notes of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth and pleasant flavour, moderately roasty with notes of dark chocolate, also some dark fruits in the background, not too sweet. A nice and very drinkable porter.

Fairly smooth golden coloured ale. It has a medium bitterness for its taste. Crisp with a small head.

Cask at Spoons in New Malden. Almost black (slight red tint) with a frothy head. Small roasted aroma, but not that pleasant, slightly toothpaste like. It’s relatively thin in its texture and not a huge amount of flavour.

Cask at The Metropolitan Bar (Wetherspoons), Baker Street, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy off white head on top. Roasty, malty aroma. Tastes malty, dark fruit, licqourice, bitter/sweet. Pretty reasonable porter.
