50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Polished magohany in colour with a rapidly fading cream head; roasted malt aroma with a touch of chocolate; tastes of well-done toast coated with chocolate spread - sweet at times, but balanced by the toastiness; then more sweet dark chocolate to finish. Very pleasant.

GBBF. Light haze on this gold beer. Tidy white head. Light dry palate. A little honey in the somewhat insipid citrus. Mild dry finish. Dull.

25cl from tap at Vulkan ølfestival. Dark brown with a reddish hue and a beige head. Malty aroma with some roasty notes and dark dried fruits. Lightly roasty and fruity with a caramel flavour and a lightly bitter finish. Fairly thin and slightly watery. Easy to drink, but a bit weak. Pleasant porter.

25cl from tap at Vulkan ølfestival. Golden with a white head. Lightly hoppy aroma with fruits and malt, hints of caramel and citrus. Fairly light body. Fruity and easy to drink but a bit boring. Finishes quite dry and slightly bitter with some citrus. Ok bittter.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 15/09/12. Clear golden with a thin white head that retained well. Grain, malt, wheat and light citrus tones on the nose. Taste follows nose, a little grass also. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Decent enough beer without setting the world alight!

A clear golden beer with a mild citrus aroma and a foamy head. A hoppy, citrusy, bittersweet flavour.

Bottle from the Sainsbury’s beer festival. Clear gold with a decent white head and plenty of fizz. Aroma of hay, slightly yeasty stone fruits and grassy hops. Flavours of cereal malts, more fruit and a spicy edge, leading to a dryish finish. Good.
