Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear golden amber, nose is toffee, lemon, taste is sweet, floral, light toffee.

500ml bottle from the Lion’s Den, Yarm. Hazy reddish amber colour with a good sized tan foam head leaving some lacing. Nose of fruity cranberry and juicy orange over a malty base. Flavour is a sweetish & tangy cranberry with bready malts, plus some orange rind and earthy bitterness. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering tangy bitter finish. Surprisingly very drinkable.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Bright golden colour, thin white foam head and maple syrup aroma. Taste is biscuity, caramel, honeycomb with maple syrup and nutty notes. Thin bodied, low carbonation, nutty light bitter finish. Quite OK.

On tap at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Rich golden colour with a white head. Aroma is malty, grain and a touch of caramel. Taste is light sweet to dryish finish. Creamy body, very drinkable.

Cask at the Quakerhouse, Darlington. Ruby brown colour, tan foam head and malty aroma. Taste is chocolatey malt, roasted notes, dried fruity, with some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Cask at the Britannia, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and malty aroma. Taste is bready malt, biscuit with some light citric earthy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Black colour, beige foam head and roasted nose. Taste is roasted and malty, with powdered chocolate & coffee, dark fruits, liquorice, and earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel abit thin, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at Darlington Snooker Club 2016 Autumn Beer Festival. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and hoppy aroma. Taste is malt caramel, biscuity, with citrusy hop grapefruit bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at Northallerton Beer Festival 2016. Golden colour, thin white foam head and yeasty aroma. Taste is toasty malt, bready, with some fruity hop resin bitterness and a sulphury hint. Medium bodied, soft cabonation, very dry tangy earthy bitter finish. OK.
