Sheffield CAMRA Beer Festival 2025, Beer#2. Deeper amber rather than red, with a small glow. The maple is apparent enough, not too strong, but is dominant in both aroma and taste. Decent autumnal style ale.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy chestnut with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s vanilla, malts and maple in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with malts again to the fore. Flavours too of nuts and maple plus hints of honey and werthers original sweets. Finish is slightly dry. I think this is fairly decent but it was served too cold to really tell !

440ml can from Tesco Extra in Chesterfield - cloudy yellow body with a short lived white head. Syrupy mouthfeel, good citrus tang with some really nice fruity tropical hints. A good flagship brew.

Cask at Wellington, Brum. Opaque yet dark and glossy. Beige head retreats to the rim. Aroma has cacao with a light tangy edge. Also coffee. Flavourwise the berries lead the way followed by creamy mocha. Medium bodied. Stick to creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head and a subdued light malt and fruity aroma. Soft and smooth up front, hop bitterness kicks in ahead of a dryish finish.
