hazy orange colour, large, though not too stable ecru-ish head; aroma and taste of marmalade, pear, canned apple, some piney and biscuity notes; good one

(Can) Pours black with ruby highlight and tiny tan head. Great aroma is all stout with no coconut that I can discern. Very nice mouthfeel - smooth, creamy, plenty of body. Taste is almost all stout with the most subtle coconut in the mid palate. It’s a rich and creamy stout with some toasty notes up front and some gentle burnt toffee bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant.

So how's Furphy travelling - well enough to risk being an umbrella brand or badly enough to warrant a quick cash grab before the slide into the abyss? Clear bottle. Gold with a sudsy white head. Aroma is grainy with some paper and weeds. Not much to the taste really - there's a little caramel but it's pretty empty before low but nagging bitterness.

Tight foamy white head stayed on an unclear amber body. Bubble gum & sweet fruit aroma. Medium bodied, to fly on the front with sticky back. Bubble gum, hoppy, bitter, grapefruit & sweet fruity tastes with a light malt backbone. Nicely balanced
