Can. Hazy pinkish with a white head that fades to a frothy 1/2cm. Pineapple & dragonfruit? I might have guessed guava & hibiscus. Tangy with crackers behind. Very sweet taste with a little tanginess and that sense of pineapple fighting back by trying to digest your tongue. No bitterness. Pleasant enough but not very beery.

The can goes to some lengths to tell me the barley's origin, where it's grown, about heroes and mates but keeps schtum about where it's brewed. Pretty much black with a cm of beige head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of roast, licorice, chicory is fairly intense. Falls away a bit upon a sip with some caramel as well as roast, licorice & coffee. Indistinct bitter finish but it does linger.

Copper. Definitely a bit on the malty sweet side. Has some nice C hops. Finish is caramel and bitter. Meh.

Cask @ Plough, Clapham Junction. Golden with a glow and a creamy head. It’s a carbonised fruity pale with a good dryness in this respect.

Can. Very clear orange amber with a small white head. Aroma of mandarin, melon, weeds, crackers. But there's a little sweetness in the taste and that really helps balance what threatened to be harsh fruity hops. Hayish more than crackery malt, gentle citrus, tropical fruit and melon with grassy bitterness. OK.

375ml clear bottle into pint glass. A gift from BWS, Glen Innes. Clear bottles do not inspire confidence in me, usually you crack it open and you're greeted by the familiar smell of rotting vegetables and bubble gum. Hey, no surprises here! Pale amber beer, large white head of foam, medium carbonation. Medium body, smooth with a little fizz. Finish is lingering sweetness. Basically a sweet macro-lager.

Keg at Young & Jackson, Melbourne. Sampled Dec 2017. Pours clear dark red amber with a beige cap. Aroma: bread, grass, toffee. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, rich & malty, bread, toffee, fruitcake. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Not a style I'm a fan of but this was decent.

(Can) Pours cloudy rosy amber with big but short lived white head. Nice aroma of raspberry, citrus and some interesting funky, cheesy, mousy hints. Light bodied, well carbonated, maybe rather fizzy. The taste is pleasantly fruitily sour, with raspberries and citrus. There’s some yoghurt hints. Refreshing and pleasant.
