Pint can. Clear yellow pour with a medium white head that has fair retention. The aroma is subdued grains and grasses. taste is also quite grassy with a bit of sweet corn, spicy herbs and a nice noble hop bitterness. Palate is medium and crisp. Finished dry. Overall: Decent pils.

Sampled from the tap at Broken Top Bottle Shop. Pours black with a deep oaky brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has vanilla up front with roast, dark grain and whiskey supporting. Flavor has a great combination of whiskey and vanilla with roasted malts and dark grains backing.

16 oz can poured picked up at Hop and Hound after their fresh recent self distro. Welcome back! Missed these beers on my loa shelves. Slightly cloudy golden pour. Really nice imperial here with layered flavor of citrus and moderately aggressive piney hops. Balanced well with a smooth biscuit like malt bill. Has a warming touch, but this really doesn't have a big feel to it. Delicious, well put together imperial all around.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium creamy brown head. A big nose, roast, barrel, heat. Licorice, roast, molasses. Dark fruit and leather, big bourbon. Hot, beastly really. Good.

Can. Pours a reddish pink hue with a small white head. A big fruity nose, honestly I get strawberry. Light vanilla, tart berries, sweet peach. Very interesting, flavorful. Needs a higher ABV maybe.

Pint can - nearly black pour with a well-sustained tan lace - creamy texture, soft carbonation, medium-full body - lightly sweet chocolate and vanilla, with a slight balancing acidity on the tail end - overall, though, on the drier side for such a beer at nearly 8% (label says 7.8) - spices are present but mostly subtle, with cinnamon and allspice most present - pumpkin is also subdued, mostly adding a subtle earthiness - a touch of smokiness on the tail end - finish with a light vanilla sweetness - it’s good!

Bottle at home in Canaan - picked up from an online retailer, quite a long time ago. Opens with a big hiss. Pours deep brown with a huge, billowing frothy beige head. Lightly sweet with a little tangy dark berry note, some ash, mellow cocoa and coffee, earth. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Decent balance to finish, a little heat. Has aged pretty well.

Vintage 2014. On tap at Oakshire Public House, pours a clear bright amber with a small beige head. Aroma is gently oxidized, with soft bourbon barrels, a little oak, and toasted caramel malt. Flavour is rounded, with lots of bourbon barrels, oak, modest oxidation in a way that is pleasant. Really nice rounded and elegant bourbon character that has developed after 8 years. Excellent.
