Can at home picked up from hotm. A clear dark nut brown coloured pour with a lasting magnolia head. Aroma is big roasted nuts, light char, some dried fruits, apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered malts twiggy, liquorice, bitter finish, mineral, drying burnt fruits,. Palate is little thin and drying, minerality in the finish, highish carbonation. Ok. Too dry overall.

500ml can. Clear golden, big white head. Aroma of malts, grainy/biscuity, very muted grassy hop. Taste is the same, biscuity and grainy malts, very little hop presence from the Nelson just some very light grape/vinous notes, grass, this is extraordinarily bitter, I love a big bitter bastard but this is too much even for me, it's borderline astringent. Really poor effort from Donzoko, a very rare misstep as their lagers are usually outstanding.

Can at home picked up from hotm. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a rocky white head. Aroma is grassy American c hop, pine. Dusty bread, earth. Green citrus. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, green berries, gooseberry, firm bitterness, some sticky pine. Palate is tart, grainy, highish carbonation. Good.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours clear pale gold with a thick white head. Aromas of pine, brown bread and lemon. Taste is bitter and resinous. Bitter finish.

Aroma is nice earthy cereal, nutty, white grape, melon, mellow nz vibes, Flavour is composed of super crisp, earth grains, white grape, fennel, firm grassy bitterness. Palate is super crisp, highish carbonation. Really nice.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Clear golden orange pour with a white head. White bread, citrus & malt aromas. Similar approach in the flavour. Fruity malty bitter doo dah. Crisp & exceedingly refreshing.
