Description
Founded in June 1999, in Milton, a village on the outskirts of Cambridge. In July 2012, Milton Brewery moved premises to the neighbouring village of Waterbeach, securing the future of the brewery, providing much needed expansion and allowing for further growth.
The Milton brewery is a traditional English Ale brewery, albeit lurking in the cunning disguise of a 1980s industrial unit. We take the finest English Maris Otter malted barley, high quality whole hops and local brewing water to produce our award-winning ales.

Cask at Alfred Free House, Upper Hale, 16/03/17. Surprisingly muted aroma - a vague dark fruitiness. Dark and oil-esque. Thin beige head. Light bitter. Gradually develops a mocha sweetness. Vanilla. Soft carbonation. Creamy but too watery IMO. Long coffee finish. OK, but somewhat muddy and too low key.

Keg at the Pembury, 01/03/17. Golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is spice, floral notes, white pepper, bread dough, Bergamot evident. Taste comprises tangerine, white peppery spice, parma violets, floral strains, straw, lemon rind, perfume. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop spattering. Ok floral/herbal kind of affair ... holds the interest but I couldn’t drink this in vast quantities.
