330ml can from the brewery. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a big fizzy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt liqourice, ashtray, light caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a slightly crisp, earthy, mineral, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to lively carbonation.

Can from Aldi, Inverurie. It pours hazy deep red - amber with a small, foamy white rim. The aroma is bright and zingy, tart raspberry, jammy, red apple skin, earthy, light spice and sponge cake. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, zingy and puckering, quite juicy, plenty of raspberry, red fruits, red grape, light cherry, nip of acidity and some spice, toastiness and earthy vibes with puckering raspberry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent.

Bottle from Great Grog. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of nuts, caramel and wood. Flavour of stewed tea and berries. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A tasty beer but it doesn’t quite have the intended depth.
