Description
Hello and welcome to Brothers Cider, the home of the original festival cider. We are Francis, Jonathan, Matthew and Daniel and for 14 generations, since 1658, when uncle Gabriel first sold his barrels around Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury, our family has strived to make light, refreshing ciders using a variety of fruit. We are constantly exploring new recipes and love to get your feedback on our latest creations.
We first started selling our Pear Cider at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 near what was then called the Jazz World Stage. These days it is called The West Holts Stage but our bar is still in the same place. Over the years, festival goers kept asking us if it was possible to get our drink when the festival was over and so we decided to market it to pubs and supermarkets. Now you can get it all over the country and at other festivals besides Glastonbury. See you at the bar!

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Todmorden. Reddish-pink and fairly bright looking. Has a sugared fruity taste. Tastes a little bit like the Rowntrees sweets that are not as fashionable now as they were in my pre-drinking years, although Rowntrees spell them slightly differently to what's on the label of this cider's bottle.

500ml bottle from Home Bargains, Newark. Bright pinkish-purple colour, pink foamy head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of cherry bakewell, marzipan. Taste is sweet, cherry bakewell flavour, marzipan, apple, berries, sugary, with alittle acidity. Medium bodied, high carbonation, acidic lingering sweet cherry finish. OK, way too sweet for me.

Can next door, thanks to Michael, 11/09/22. Light golden blonde with a good sized white cap as it goes for a cider. Nose is apple peel, sugars, grass, straw. Taste is bitter sweet apple ... no real depth to it although not overly sweet or unpleasant, straw, residual sugars. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. OK refesher for a hot day but firmly stuck in the lower part of third gear.

Expecting to this also be more soft drink than cider. Just had another one from the same brewer to prepare. Smell-medium to strong, marshmallows, candy, sugar, chemical. Foam- thin, weak sweetness, Marshmellow-chemical tones, candy... Head is tiny, white in color, and disappears instantly. Appearance - pink brewer bottle cap, simple label. Clear, pink color, few carbonation bubbles. From - pint Price - 2.99 for 0,5l Taste- sweet, candy, sugar, marshmallow. Chemical, sweet, sugary. Very soft-drinky, but too chemical, glad I took another one first, it prepared me for this one. Still it is somewhat drinkable

(Bottle) Pours clear pale violet with no head. Intense Parma violet aroma with a hint of apples. Light body with plenty of rather fizzy carbonation. Taste is dominated by the Parma violets with some tart cider in the background. Weird but strangely drinkable.
