Watching one of four Scottish teams in a week of failure for all of them in European football as the background to this Pinkish-red coloured very sweet effort. It has a heavy red and dark berry flavour, feels artificial, feels very familiar to other macro choices of this ilk. If you’re looking for positives it has an easy strength and texture.

On this drinking day in 1984 in support of the UK Miners' strike the National Dockyard Strike was taking place. Colliers' might drink this after a hard day in the pit, it's a strong and gritty cider, not least due to its toward sour apple, which is extremely characterful in terms of this cider, although the fruit is flavoursome enough to be enjoyed. Not quite as bad as I expected it to be.

On the Day I'm drinking this cider, back in 767 Toto of Nepi's coup d'état in Rome saw one of his brothers consecrated as Pope Constantine II. This 'Brothers' effort is easily the sweetest of the four cider's I have enjoyed this evening, although its lower strength means it doesn't have a great depth to it, but is not weak. Raspberry light but most prominent in its aroma.

500ml can from local shop. Golden colour, foamy white head that dissipates and aroma of fruity pear, apple. Taste is sweet, peary, caramel, syrup, baked apple, with sugary and tangy notes. Medium bodied, high carbonation, medium sweet syrupy finish. OK.

500ml can from local shop. Bright golden colour, foamy white head and aroma of tinned pineapple, passionfruit, candy. Taste is sweet, tropical fruit salad, pineapple, passionfruit, sugary with alittle citric tartness. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet tropical finish. Quite artificial and very sweet.

Can. OK, I have to remeber what I am drinking here. First Perry so I’ll do my best. Tastes more like a cider then anything. The after taste is all pear. Aroma is also more pear then apple. Color is golden, honey. Wine drinkers ought to live this.Has a pretty good kick.
