Brothers Cider (Brothers Group)
Client Brewer in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England 🏴
Established in 1992
We first started selling our Pear Cider at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 near what was then called the Jazz World Stage. These days it is called The West Holts Stage but our bar is still in the same place. Over the years, festival goers kept asking us if it was possible to get our drink when the festival was over and so we decided to market it to pubs and supermarkets. Now you can get it all over the country and at other festivals besides Glastonbury. See you at the bar!

500ml can from local shop. Pinkish colour, short-lived pink foamy head and aroma of green apple, raspberry, lime hint. Taste is sweet, raspberry, jammy, slight apple and some tartness with a lime citric note. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying lingering berry sweetness at the finish. Quite sweet.

Bottle Pours clear reddish. Sweetish. Red berries. Kinda of a dry mouthfeel. Fair

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Todmorden. Clear pink coloured. The sweet Cherry Bakewell thing is very evident here, with a mix of fruit, sugars and pastry notes. Plenty of aroma too. Too much in one go might get overbearing.

Can from Asda Supermarket, Manchester. Peachy-golden with a light carbonation. The cider doesn't really know what it is, whilst it is drinkable it is neither flavoursome in pear or apple.

Bottle from Home Bargains, Salford. Clear golden colour. Has sweet honeycomb flavours, which don't work too well in this instance, and is a little overbearing after a while.

Can from Tesco Metro, Manchester. Pinkish-red in colour, and clear. Red-berries are in both aroma and taste, sweet in the latter, and arguably a tad bland.
Sweet, syrupy, sugary, raspberry concentrate, very fizzy

Can from Tesco Metro, Manchester. Very pale clear yellow colour. Has a very heavy orange aroma and a bitter-orange taste, giving it a very un-ciderlike feel. There's a zest to it as the name suggests.
Sweet, butterscotch, toffee, syrup, sugary, old socks, dirty cloth, milky. It feels like drinking old socks with which you have previously stepped on butterscotch candy...

Can from Tesco Metro, Manchester. Pinkish-red with a heavy red berry flavouring, although somewhat artificial in design and with a minimal sweetness about it
