Cannled at Ottawa gathering. Hazy deep golden, mid sized head. Aroma of, well strawberries and rhubarb. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Purely strawberry and rhubarb. Simplistic and edgy.

12/II/17 - 1Pt. (473ml) can from a trade @ Big Polish Diacetyl Tasting, home - BB: n/a (no dates, thanks Canadian law!) (2017-170) Thanks to Robert S. for the trade and Erwin for facilitating!

Clear orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, some caramel, honey. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, bit malty, grassy, some citrus, grapefruit, bit resinous, dry. Aftertaste: bit fruity, little funky, grassy, spicy touch. Probably a bit of age? Hard to tell with no dates on the can.

Can: Poured a yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium citrusy hops notes with nice floral undertones. Taste is a nice mix of citrusy hops with some floral undertones and some light dry grassy malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad with enough flavours for the style.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color, small head. Smooth mouthfeel, but the flavor has too much vegetables, stale water, some chocolate, milk cream, and a hint of sweet liquorice. Some cask feeling too. It was not the right beer to barrel age.
Messy beer.

Bottle - Nice roast, chocolate and bourbon with a graham cracker. Jet brown with a small beige head. Vegetal, boozy an some roast with some awful off notes. Smells positive but tastes poorly.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is quite woody and roasty, with a touch of the bourbon barrels. Flavour is quite well-balanced, with notes of medium roasted malt, light bourbon barrels and some butterscotch. Some vegetal notes as well on the end. Not very cohesive and there are certainly some flaws. Roasty, vegetal and buttery on the finish. Flawed and nothing special -- at least not a disaster.
